Dunluce Period Costumes Experience

Take the opportunity to meet local costume designer Bertha Huey at her Dunluce castle centre and dress up in her fine collection of period costume as you become the gentry of the castle for the day, viewing your domain of Dunluce Castle which was widely recognised in the 17th century, as one of the finest residences in the British Isles.

Dunluce Castle competed with the finest that London had to offer courtesy of the treasure salvaged from the Spanish ship The Girona in 1585 and the discerning tastes of Lady Mc Donnell of London birth. Take a tour of the castle with our guide who comes from a family who can trace their roots back on the Causeway Coast for generations.

Your guide will fascinate you with exciting stories of the history of this promontory castle and its inhabitants over the years, such as The MacQuillan clan, the Elopement tragedy, the story of The Great Mc Donnell chieftain Sorley Boy Mc Donnell and the strong Scots Irish connections.
