Your journey along the Causeway Coastal Route must start at The Causeway Coast Discovery Centre. A visit here will bring alive and enhance your trip along one of the great road journeys of the world. It will help you understand some of its history and the people, while discovering the locations of castles, glens and rugged coastline of the Causeway Coastal Route. The Causeway Coast Discovery Centre will take you back to the 16th century when the Causeway Coastal Route was ruled by one of the great chieftains of old, Sorley Boy McDonnell and highlight the areas very strong connections with Scotland.

While enjoying tea /coffee and scones in the Loft above our stables, hear our stories and listen to our unique audio visual presentation telling Sorley’s epic life story.
Hear how this heroic warrior successfully defended the Causeway Coastal Route from all attacking forces and invaders.  View our interpretive centre with its images and information on the castles and monuments all along the Causeway Coastal Route.

Visit our stables below the Loft Tea Room, named “Sheans Horse Farm “with a five star rating on Trip Advisor and meet our team of Traditional Irish Gypsy Cob Horses.  Get a photograph holding the horses and later you may also meet them riding at some of the iconic locations along the Causeway Coastal Route, from Downhill Beach to the Glens of Antrim.
